Frequently asked

You should plan for the sitting fee + a package. A senior session fee is $300 and my most popular package is $1500 which includes matted gift prints for family, wallets to give to your friends, a signing board for your grad party, and the MHeart exclusive wood heirloom clusters. When you schedule your personal consultation we will go over each package I offer and also cover the payment plans I offer.

How much should I plan to spend?

All of my individual sessions are three hours, I have found this is the best amount of time to change outfits and travel to new locations for a variety of images. However, you should expect to be with me for at least four hours due to hair and makeup being done beforehand. When we meet for your consultation, I will plan the best timeline so you don't have to worry at all. All you do is show up with your outfits, pet, and personal items and be treated like the queen you are!

How long is an individual session?

I recommend scheduling your senior portraits done BEFORE your senior year begins because my schedule fills up so fast. Most seniors will schedule them for the summer before their senior year begins so their busy academic and extracurricular schedules don't interfere.

When should I have senior portraits done?

All of my session fees include professional hair and makeup, your personal consultation where we cover wardrobe planning or personal shopping if you choose and design the session of your dreams, the time and talent of your photographer, image retouching and your red carpet gallery reveal. I can't forget the client swag bag that is also given to each client! This includes face masks, a personalized leather cuff, pop socket, candy, chap stick, T-shirt, Year 12, and a 20oz cup.

What does the session fee include?

So in Year 12, the magazine that is given to each senior in their swag bag, I go over outfit choices and include 15+ pages of inspiration but I recommend at least 5 different outfits ranging from casual to professional dress. We will talk about outfit planning during your consultation and browse the senior style closet.

How many outfits should I wear and what type of clothing should I bring?

3 weeks after your session, you will get a hand written invitation to schedule and attend your gallery reveal. This is where I roll out the red carpet and provide snacks, and refreshments to watch your personal image slideshow on the studio's 120" flat screen, this is an incredibly exciting and emotional time so I will also have Kleenex ready. We will hand pick your final images, design grad announcements, albums and the wall art together. I do ask that ALL decision makers be present for this session because this is the time your order will be made. If, for any reason a decision maker is not able to be present for this reveal, we will reschedule to ensure your highest satisfaction.

When will I get to see my final gallery?

All orders are placed the day after your gallery reveal and are available for pick up within four to six weeks. I will send you a text as soon as I have received your order and you can pick it up as soon as that day!

When will I get my order?

I understand completely that unexpected emergencies can and will happen, I just ask you give me at least 48 hours of notice if you need to reschedule an appointment, if you can. There will be rare instances that 48 hours notice is not applicable and I ask that you please call me as soon as you can and we will work out the best plan for you. For the first time reschedules there will be no fees associated but any re-scheduling afterwards will require a fee of $100. As far as weather and your individual session, I will not charge any re-scheduling fees. We live in the Midwest where anything can happen at the drop of a hat, I will be keeping my eye on the radar and will try my best to keep everyone's safety in mind first.

What if I need to reschedule my appointment?

This is a group of upcoming high school senior women from the surrounding areas of Osage County. It's about so much more than just senior portraits taken, it's about finding your confidence to take on the world and setting a positive example. It is finding new friendships, creating and being part of a group that supports and encourages one another. This is about me being passionate about empowering young women in this pivotal season of life, passionate about photography, and passionate about being the positive role model I needed my senior year. ModMembers participate in fun photoshoots throughout their senior year and have monthly meet-ups where we learn fun things like professional development, makeup artistry, build your confidence, and learn new hobbies.
